Job Description and Synthesis
Our client, a leading Southeastern Bank, is looking to hire a Manager of Electronic Banking to manage and provides day to day coordination and operation oversight to the company’ s ATM and Check Card systems. 

Specific Responsibilities
  • Formulates, recommends, and implements company operating policies related to EBS Operations.
  • Directs the study and establishment of new and revised systems, procedures, methods, and forms that would be used in EBS Operations.
  • Ensures service-levels are met through the proper installation, servicing and maintenance of the ATM network and Check Card system.
  • Oversees the outside vendor/processor relationships needed to service and support the company’ s EBS operations.
  • Analyzes the need for expansion and improvement of the ATM network/Check Card system; making recommendations to management.
  • Reports problem resolution, progress, sub-standard performance, and status to management on a monthly basis of budget performance, service levels, and staffing efficiency.
  • Assigns staff day-to-day duties associated with EBS operations and monitoring their progress.
  • Manages the daily accounts settlement of the company’ s ATM and Check Card systems.
  • Develops, implements, and reviews policies and procedures to ensure the successful day-to-day operating activities of the company’ s ATM and Check Card products.
  • Conducts semi-annual self-audits to verify procedures and policies are being followed and administered correctly and consistently.
  • Conducts Reg E training annually and ensures all Reg E rules are being followed.
  • Manages the execution of ATM and Check Card disputes.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and monitors all charge-off occurrences for proper handling and timely resolution.
  • Plans and schedules the activities within EBS Operations and coordinates them with data processing and other operational areas as needed.
  • Keeps informed of new developments or ideas which would affect EBS operations, through publications and occasional outside visits and meetings.
  • Exercises the usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations.
  • Oversees department finances to ensure within budget and review/explain variances to budget.
  • Oversees the development of the written plans of business recovery for all areas of responsibility.
  • Coordinates the testing of all plans to ensure viability of plans.
  • Mentors subordinates
  • Acts as a mentor to subordinates and others within the individual’ s direct control. 
  •   Trains subordinates in problem resolution in order to have them self-sufficient.
  • Exercises acceptable and professional ethics in working with supervision, peers and subordinates.
  • Provides a positive and enthusiastic demeanor to the public and other employees.

Key Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent 5 – 7 years of banking or related financial field;
  • 3 – 5 years in bank operations or combination of Bachelor’ s degree w/related experience
